– Located in Downtown Birmingham, MI, 220 Merrill restaurant is housed in the “Old Detroit Edison” building that was established in 1932. The building was originally constructed by The Detroit Edison Company and served as the offices for the Northern Metro Detroit suburbs.
– In August 1979, one of the first full-service restaurants in the city was born as 220 Merrill Street Restaurant which operated as a local gathering place for over 15 years.
– Elia Group acquired the property in 2014 and collaborated with esteemed restoration architects in order to update and renovate while preserving the authenticity and details of the historic building.
