511 Woodward represents a forward-thinking vision for Wayne County, Michigan by embarking on a plan for integrated development between the private, nonprofit, and public sectors.

After acquiring the property in 2014, Elia Group completed a historic restoration to transform the property into an iconic destination making it one of the top 100 independently owned volume restaurants in America, consistently winning awards with food and liquor sales.

Originally an Au Bon Pain and then an under-performing American Bistro-style café, we completely reimagined the space and elevated the culinary experience to match the vibrancy and activity of Campus Martius Park and the unprecedented resurgence of downtown Detroit.

Elia Group is transforming a previously vacant and underutilized retail space in the 511 Woodward building into a “first-of-its-kind” restaurant and lounge in Downtown Detroit.

Elia Group also serves as a Preferred Developer for Starbucks. Through this strategic partnership, Elia Group has acquired, coordinated, and worked directly with the Starbucks team to build stand-alone retail locations to the exacting specifications of the Starbucks Corporation.

Beginning in 2016 through the acquisition of Parc Restaurant, our close working partnership with DDP has expanded to encompass all food and beverage operations in and around Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit, voted the #1 public park in America by USA Today.
